We are seeking a skilled and proactive Handyman to provide routine maintenance and minor repairs across our Mining Villages in the Goldfields region, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining the upkeep of guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities by performing general maintenance tasks such as fixing door handles, hinges, latches, light fittings, minor leaks, and touch-up painting
- Patching holes in walls, replacing tiles, securing loose fixtures, and completing small surface repairs as required
- Conducting regular inspections to identify signs of damage, wear, or safety issues and escalating complex or licensed tasks to qualified trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers)
- Safely using hand and power tools including drills, screwdrivers, and saws to perform various tasks such as replacing items like light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, taps, and shower heads
- Ensuring a clean and orderly workshop and ensuring tools are in good working condition
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
