Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Leading Hand Diesel Fitter to join our team at the Mt Holland Mine.

This is an opportunity to showcase your technical expertise in maintenance activities, working with a mobile maintenance team to perform servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment as directed in accordance with company documentation.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leadership of a skilled mobile maintenance team
  • Performing routine servicing, repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Sourcing technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer systems
  • Providing technical guidance to staff and operations personnel
  • Verifying solutions until deficiencies are corrected
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification
  • At least 5 years mining experience with leading or supervision of HD Fitters
  • A positive leadership style, time-management skills and ability to provide guidance and supervision
  • Experience managing performance, planning and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment
  • Adherence to work health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to ensure required paperwork is completed to a high standard by tradespeople
  • Proactive approach to quality work completion
  • High Risk Work Licences advantageous – WP, LF and Rigging
