Team Leader for Logistics Operations

Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and efficient Team Leader to oversee the Government and Defence Team. The Team Leader will be tasked with supporting stocktaking, inventory oversight, invoicing, receipting, customer service, and reporting, in addition to performing general warehouse duties including high reach and counterbalance forklift operation, RF scanning, and pick/pack responsibilities.
You will lead and inspire a team of up to seven warehouse personnel to achieve operational excellence across all facets of warehouse and distribution, focusing on safety, receiving, reporting, inventory management, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhering to Safety Standards and Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements consistently.
- Providing outstanding leadership and guidance to ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met and surpassed.
- Addressing staff-related issues, including attendance and performance management.
- Assisting with quality control by accurately inspecting and documenting all incoming freight movements.
- Managing staff schedules and workloads to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Coordinating with transport providers and the broader warehouse team to ensure a precise and efficient inbound process.

- Extensive computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Familiarity with RF scanning systems.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes, including receiving, returns, credits, and reconciliation.
