Job Opportunity:

This is an exciting role offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-growing company. The Legal Counsel position provides exposure to a broad range of legal work, ideal for someone looking to make a real impact and grow their in-house career.

The primary focus of this role is to provide practical and commercially relevant legal advice to internal stakeholders. This involves draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including technology, supplier, logistics, and partnership contracts.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring and advising on regulatory compliance, assisting in developing and maintaining legal policies and risk frameworks, managing external legal counsel and legal technology tools, and supporting dispute resolution and regulatory communications when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including technology, supplier, logistics, and partnership contracts.
  • Providing Practical Advice: Provide practical and commercially relevant legal advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and advise on regulatory compliance, including consumer law, privacy/data protection, and corporate governance.
  • Policy Development: Assist in developing and maintaining legal policies and risk frameworks.
  • External Relationships: Manage external legal counsel and legal technology tools to ensure cost-effective and efficient support.
  • Dispute Resolution: Support with dispute resolution and regulatory communications when needed.
Requirements:

This role requires a strong commercial contract experience with the ability to balance legal risk and business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years' post-qualification experience, preferably gained in-house or within a corporate practice.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role. Previous exposure to eCommerce, retail, or technology-driven environments is advantageous.
