About Our ClientOur client is a leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company with a strong presence in the Australian market.Job DescriptionThis is a 2-year fixed-term contract opportunity for a commercially minded In-House Legal Counsel to join a collaborative team.
The role will provide a broad range of legal and commercial support across the business, with exposure to senior stakeholders and decision-making.The Successful ApplicantKey ResponsibilitiesDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contractsProviding practical legal advice to business leaders on commercial, regulatory, and compliance mattersSupporting marketing, sales, supply chain, and procurement teams with legal inputManaging external counsel where requiredAssisting with governance, risk, and compliance initiativesSupporting broader projects and strategic initiatives within the FMCG environmentAbout You2-5 years PQE, with experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house environmentStrong background in commercial law; FMCG, retail, or consumer sector experience highly regardedExcellent drafting and negotiation skills, with a commercial and solutions-focused approachStrong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile environmentA proactive, collaborative, and hands-on style
