Support Care Specialist

We are seeking a Support Care Specialist to join our team.

The role involves delivering compassionate care and empowerment to clients through personal support, advocacy, and transportation. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring clients' well-being and reporting on their progress. You will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the highest level of care and support is provided to clients.

This is a full-time vacancy in our Asquith group home. We offer a dynamic and supportive environment where you can grow your career and make a positive difference in people's lives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clients to develop and maintain independence and advocate for their individual needs.
  • Delivering personalized support by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administering medication, and manual handling using various equipment and aids.
  • Transporting clients in wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
  • Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a carer or DSP assistant in nursing or aged care.
  • A current NSW Driver's License (P2 minimum).

We offer attractive hourly rates, penalty rates, and benefits including:

  • $34.59 - $35.67 per hour + super.
  • Guaranteed $80,000 FTE earnings when penalty rates are included.
  • $100 annual Well-being Allowance.

  • Opportunity to complete a nationally recognized qualification like Certificate III in Individual Support.
