Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Support and Empowerment Specialist to join our team. As a Community Service Worker, you will be working with individuals who have experienced long-term mental health admissions, assisting them in achieving their recovery goals and independence.

  • Provide ongoing support and care coordination with consumers to help them readjust to living within the community.
  • Support and empower consumers to develop daily living skills, manage budgets, and maintain medication regimens.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including family members, service partners, and government agencies.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of our organization through involvement in projects, team forums, and training and development opportunities.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, such as social work or psychology (Cert IV in Mental Health).
  • An understanding of recovery-oriented principles and psycho-social rehabilitation frameworks.
  • A valid NSW driver's license.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
