About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast-growing organization, driving strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and influencing a vision to measure investments across Commercial & Public sectors, building short and long-term financial models for existing and new business concepts, and partnering with business teams to implement new processes (controllership) and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, influence and execute a vision to measure investments across Commercial & Public sectors
  • Build short and long-term financial models for existing and new business concepts
  • Partner with business team to implement new processes (controllership) and drive the improvement of existing processes
  • Ownership of key reporting metrics (KPI's) and narratives to help business partners understand areas of growth as well as opportunity for engagement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analysis experience
  • 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

We would also love to hear from candidates who have:

  • 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Salary Estimate

The salary for this role is estimated to be around AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, based on industry standards and market research. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
