About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Operations Specialist to join our team at Novatech. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations Coordination: Coordinate and execute weekly payroll, including responsibility for all pay-related queries and payroll compliance.
  • Financial Compliance: Complete comprehensive financial compliance tasks, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workcover reconciliations.
  • Accounting Procedures: Coordinate end-of-month accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy through reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Accounting Record Management: Maintain the integrity of accounting records, including Cash Accounts reconciliation and Fixed Asset Register management.
  • Process Improvement: Support the development of accounting policies, process enhancements, and internal controls.
  • Financial Analysis and Support: Provide high-level support to the Business Services Manager on financial management, data auditing, and analysis, while staying updated on legislative changes and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum Diploma of Accounting or equivalent, along with membership in a recognized Accounting body, and familiarity with MYOB Advanced or other ERP systems.
  • Experience: Comprehensive understanding of both administrative functions and accounting support, reflecting versatility and a holistic approach to business operations.
  • Skills: Proven experience supporting Finance Managers or higher, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and ATO compliance, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in IT and systems, particularly Excel and Word, for efficient data management.
