Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for assisting with the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, completing month-end journal entries and accrual process, and performing regular audits to ensure the accuracy of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the finance team with internal and external audit functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Perform regular audits to identify and investigate any discrepancies, demonstrating a proactive approach to resolving financial issues.
- Prepare and process all cheques and payments in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that all creditor statements are up-to-date and current.
- Provide support to all departments with expense-related inquiries, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Assist with other general accounting functions as needed, working closely with the finance team to ensure the smooth operation of our financial systems.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial operations and accounting principles.
- Working rights in Australia, with a valid visa or citizenship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new financial systems and software.
