Counsellor Advocate
About the Role:This is a long-term part-time opportunity with an organisation that shares our values.
- Based in Sunshine, we offer onsite parking and proximity to public transport.
The ideal candidate will work with diverse individuals, delivering expert assessments and counselling utilising trauma-informed principles and interventions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for individuals and families.
- Promoting recovery through trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
- Fostering education and awareness in individual, family, and group settings.
- Identifying critical issues affecting wellbeing, mental health, and safety, and developing strategies for addressing these concerns.
We seek applicants with relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or a related discipline.
A strong background in trauma-focused service provision, coupled with exceptional report-writing skills, is essential for success in this role.
