Crisis Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Support Professional to join our team and contribute to the development of a pioneering crisis support initiative in Queensland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical oversight and risk management within the crisis support space, supporting and mentoring Peer Workers and non-clinical staff, delivering basic mental health triage, and ensuring appropriate referrals for clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to Peer Workers and non-clinical staff.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality mental health triage services.
  • Collaborate closely with emergency services and community providers to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Maintain strong relationships with service providers to enhance referral pathways and treatment access.

Requirements

">
  • Degree in Psychology (Honours or Graduate Diploma) and registration with AHPRA.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology (Masters or Doctorate), or significant progress toward completion.
  • Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016, or a demonstrated commitment to completing the requirements for appointment.
