About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Injury Prevention Specialist to join our WorkCare Services team. This role will be based in Perth and requires frequent regional travel within WA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a participatory approach to the control of manual task injuries with WA local government sector, complying with WA Code of Practice: Manual Tasks.
  • Innovate early intervention and prevention services to reduce musculoskeletal injuries and claim trends.
  • Deliver manual task and ergonomic services (office and machinery) across WA, including regional and remote locations.
  • Deliver education sessions to WA local government employees to mitigate workers compensation claims and costs.
  • Collaborate with internal Client Service Account Managers, WHS / Risk Consultants, Injury Management Consultants, Claims Consultants, and Regional Risk Coordinators, to support proactive injury prevention strategies for potential high-risk work areas.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Ergonomics, WHS or Physiotherapy is essential.
  • Cert IV Training & Assessment is not essential but desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Computer literacy, including skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is necessary.
