Project Administrator Job Opportunity

Delivering a new multi-site Palawa-led arts project is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. As a Project Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of this project, which centres Palawa voices and aims to contribute to broader goals of cultural continuity, visibility, and representation.

This position is identified as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander role, and we encourage applications from individuals who identify as such, with a preference for members of the Palawa community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the project team and cultural advisors with scheduling, documentation, and communications
  • Keep project records and tracking tools up-to-date, including timelines, tasks, and milestones
  • Coordinate logistics for artist Expressions of Interest, including handling enquiries and scheduling
  • Provide administrative support for contracts, invoicing, and supplier communications
  • Assist in delivering clear and consistent messaging across teams, galleries, and community networks
  • Support project evaluation and reporting by compiling data and community feedback

About You:

  • You have experience in project administration or coordination, ideally in arts, cultural communities, or Aboriginal-led organisations
  • You are a great organiser, able to juggle tasks and timelines across multiple stakeholders
  • You can engage respectfully and effectively with Palawa artists, Elders, and community members

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate between $41.89 and $46.36, plus superannuation
  • A casual role, with an initial commitment of approximately one day a week, with hours increasing around key project milestones and deadlines
