Family and Youth Program Leadership Role

The Family and Youth Program Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that address the needs of vulnerable families and youth.

This role requires a compassionate and experienced leader to work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure the delivery of high-quality interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify specific needs of vulnerable families and youth.
  • Oversee program implementation, ensuring it meets desired outcomes.
  • Manage a small team providing frontline support to community members and facilitate regular team meetings to promote collaboration and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress of client cases and conduct case conferences and team discussions to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Cultivate partnerships with local agencies, schools, government entities, and community organizations to strengthen network of support.
  • Assist in grant proposal development to secure funding for family and youth programs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to funders.
  • Develop robust evaluation framework to assess program effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • Strong leadership and management experience in youth and family services or community welfare.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and strong rapport-building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and ability to establish priorities.
  • Experience with MS Office and CRM systems, as well as confidential records management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively.
  • Working Rights in Australia and Valid Drivers License required.
