Family and Youth Program Leader

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to oversee the delivery of programs and services that support vulnerable families and youth. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure high-quality interventions and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that address the unique needs and challenges faced by our target population. This includes:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify specific needs of vulnerable families and youth.
  • Overseeing the smooth implementation of programs ensuring they meet desired outcomes.
  • Managing a small team of professionals providing frontline support to community members and conducting regular team meetings to promote collaboration and learning.
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress of client cases and facilitating case conferences and team discussions to develop comprehensive support plans for families and youth.
  • Cultivating and maintaining partnerships with local agencies, schools, government entities, and community organizations to strengthen network of support available to families and youth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, psychology or a related discipline, as well as experience in leadership and management within youth and families or community welfare. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to engage effectively with staff, volunteers, external stakeholders, and beneficiaries.

Key Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related discipline.
  • Strong leadership & management experience within youth & families or community welfare.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and strong rapport-building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with a proven ability to engage in building relationships with staff, volunteers, external stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
