Role Overview

This leadership position involves supporting and mentoring Behaviour Support Practitioners to deliver high-quality services. The key objective is to enable BSPs in delivering exceptional service outcomes while fostering a collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding, coaching, and reviewing the performance of BSPs, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in monitoring team progress, contributing to annual performance reviews, and encouraging a cohesive team approach in evaluating service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guiding and coaching Behaviour Support Practitioners in their roles.
  • Reviewing positive behaviour support plans to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Mentoring and developing BSPs to achieve personal and professional growth.
  • Leading the team to meet performance targets, focusing on best practice and stakeholder satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Completed degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or similar - essential.
  • Endorsement as a proficient practitioner.
  • Experience mentoring BSPs or leadership/management experience in human services sectors such as disability, health, family support, or other relevant fields.
