Job Description

\

The Youth Parliament Taskforce Volunteer role is an exciting opportunity to empower young people in NSW to create and present bills in Parliament.

\

As a Taskforce Volunteer, you will mentor a team of participants to develop their ideas into solutions-based problem-solving. This involves delivering on aspects of the program such as parliamentary and civics education, leadership and public speaking, and social media coverage.

\

The role requires a strong commitment to supporting the development of young people, particularly in Years 10-12, to build their leadership and public speaking skills and understanding of civics education.

\

  • Ability to work with diverse groups of young people and stakeholders\
  • Strong organizational and time management skills\
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities\
  • Passion for empowering young people to have a voice in Parliament and in their local communities
