Purpose and Description of Position:

Yung Prodigy seeks Board Directors to guide our organisation in supporting young people impacted by parental incarceration. As a Director, you'll shape strategy, ensure governance, and uphold our values of transparency, intersectionality, grassroots, and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans that align with the organisation's mission.
  • Governance and Oversight: Ensure the organisation adheres to legal standards, maintains financial accountability, and operates transparently.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Act as an advocate for Yung Prodigy, representing the organisation at public events and within networks.
  • Resource Mobilisation: Assist in obtaining sufficient funds and resources to secure the financial health and sustainability of the organisation.
  • Program Development: Provide input into program planning and evaluation to address the needs of young people impacted by parental incarceration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships with key stakeholders to advance the organisation's objectives.
