Senior Home Assessing Manager

The Role: Senior Home Assessing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Leader to lead our Home Assessing team, providing direction, support, training, and coaching to ensure the accountability and purpose of each member is clearly understood.

This senior leadership role is responsible for:

  • Direct responsibility for the On-road Assessing Team and Desktop Assessing Team
  • Act as key liaison for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely alongside the Commercial Manager to procure selected supplier services with appropriate governance, compliance, and contractual frameworks
  • Lead and develop capability team meetings with Direct Report(s) and develop frameworks that will produce a highly engaged and technically strong team
  • Coach, develop, mentor, and support Direct Report(s) to ensure the entire team's performance exceeds key performance indicators and service standards
  • Act as escalation point in complex negotiations and high-profile disputes, working closely with the Claims Management Team
  • Implement and oversee regulatory frameworks to ensure risks are stringently managed
  • Monitor, manage, and audit tactical supplier performance to ensure agreed Procurement protocols are executed
  • Identify and report on key trends within the Home Assessing team, as well as external practices that could present risks or opportunities
  • Work collaboratively across the end-to-end Home value chain to ensure controls consistently deliver against overall business objectives

About You:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Leader with expertise in Home Assessing, Building Repair, and Restoration. You'll need:

  • Extensive Senior Leadership experience through leading teams for a minimum of 5 years
  • Minimum 5 years' experience and strong knowledge of the Home Assessing, Building Repair, and Restoration environment and associated market practices and standards
  • Experience leading a team of professionals and operating effectively as part of a team with accountability for business results
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven capability in the development and execution of strategic programs of work
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills, effective with customers and industry professionals when negotiating best business outcomes
  • Strong, accurate written communication skills, including report writing
