Job Title: Meal Preparation Specialist

The objective of this position is to prepare high-quality meals that meet nutritional requirements. You will be working in a team environment with catering staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Prepare and cook food according to dietary needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of cooking areas and equipment
  • Ensure safe food handling practices
  • Manage resources, including ordering and stock control
  • Supervise and delegate tasks as required
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Key Requirements
  • Trade certification or equivalent qualification (desired)
  • Experience in commercial cooking environments and/or aged care catering (essential)
  • Current knowledge of Food Safe Plus practices, hygiene standards, quality systems, and relevant legislation
  • Dietary nutrition knowledge for the elderly
  • Understanding of infection control measures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
