Dynamic Space Program Manager

Gilmour Space is a leading Australian rocket company, pioneering next-generation hybrid propulsion technologies for small satellite launch vehicles.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our innovative team to send rockets to space. Our state-of-the-art facility, equipped with the latest technology and tools, provides an ideal environment for innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall performance of all launch vehicles organisation efforts across future research & development, product development, mission management, and operations programs
  • Demonstrate, execute to, and uphold a high standard of professional conduct as a senior member of the Launch Vehicles organisation
  • Assist in managing schedules, budgets, and documentation for launch vehicle activities throughout the entire product development and operations lifecycle
  • Manage and continually evaluate future launch vehicle development, production, and operations costs
  • Communicate and support launch vehicle objectives and key results and ensure appropriate assignment of resources for future programs
  • Monitor the progress of external product development and associated activities to ensure risks and issues are managed in a timely manner
  • Support regular review meetings with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and communicate status, risks, and issues
  • Support the coordination, conduct of presentations, and major system reviews
  • Provide comprehensive reporting as required by the Program Manager
  • Continually identify improvement for processes, safety, cost-effectiveness
  • Work with the Human Resource Department in the recruitment and training of employees

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management
  • Exceptional work ethic, initiative, attention to detail, and ability to obtain and retain new information
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to work well in a safety-critical, dynamic environment
  • Experience working well with multi-disciplinary teams
