Mechanical Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our production team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing department.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Documenting and communicating with stakeholders in an efficient and timely manner;">
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures;">
  • Performing work accurately and to a high standard, according to drawings, specifications, and test instructions;">
  • Preparing, setting up, assembling, testing, and integrating development and flight equipment, structures, and hardware;">
  • Modifying, repairing, assembling, and installing rocket structures;">
  • Performing post-test operations and inspections to ensure flight-worthy hardware;">
  • Fabricating, repairing, and assembling hardware/equipment needed;">
  • Developing novel ways to streamline processes and increase the reliability of operations;">
  • Handling and disposing of hazardous materials in an approved manner;">
  • Collaborating with engineers to develop and document activities;">
  • Ensuring all services are performed on time, safely, and in a professional manner;">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A Level 3 Trade qualification in Aerospace, Fitting, or similar trade;">
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Aerospace, Manufacturing, Marine, or Automotive Industry;">
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible (preferred);">
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and interpersonal skills;">
  • Knowledge of temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems, and propulsion engines;">
  • Skill in operating and manipulating machinery with great manual dexterity;">
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a fast-paced, challenging work environment;">
  • Experience with forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment;">
  • Desire and willingness to assist other team members in the general day-to-day running of the department.">
