Key Data Governance Position Available

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill a pivotal role in developing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance practices. This position will focus on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, security, and usability of organisational data assets.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for championing the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework. They will lead strategic initiatives to drive a culture of data responsibility and literacy throughout the business.

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Define and enforce data ownership and stewardship models.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including privacy and security regulations.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration through the Data Steward Forum.
  • Oversee data quality, metadata, and master data management initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate data-related risks.
  • Design and deliver training programs to promote data governance awareness.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
  • Leadership or senior specialist role experience.
  • Success in implementing enterprise-wide data governance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of MDM, data lifecycle management, and cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with tools like Collibra, Informatica Axon / EDC, Alation, or Microsoft Purview.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Agile delivery experience and familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
