We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Officer to join our Liability Claims team. As a Claims Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and managing end-to-end personal injury and public liability claims.
Key Responsibilities- Efficiently manage the claims process, ensuring accurate completion and validation of claims.
- Interpret policy coverage and determine if coverage applies to claims submitted, escalating issues as needed.
- Establish and maintain good client relationships with insured, brokers, investigators, solicitors, and the general public.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and standards.
- Initiate and complete recoveries from third parties.
- Self-audit claims files to ensure positive internal audits.
- Respond to enquiries in an accurate, timely, professional, and courteous manner within Privacy guidelines.
- Sound technical understanding and ability to manage a diversified liability claims.
- Proficient in underwriting procedures and policy interpretation.
- Legal qualifications are advantageous but not a mandatory requirement.
- Ability to collaborate with relevant providers, including loss adjusters, lawyers, and consultants.
- Understanding of the General Insurance Code of Practice.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client/customer relationships.
- Ability to participate in alternative dispute resolution.
