Mental Health Intake Specialist

As a mental health professional, this role plays a key part in connecting clients to vital services. We are seeking a skilled candidate to manage the intake and referral process, ensuring timely allocation of clients to clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the regional intake and referral queue, allocating clients to clinicians in a timely manner.
- Conduct assessments for couples and family counselling, including screening for Family and Domestic Violence (FDV).
- Collaborate with clients, clinicians, and internal teams to deliver trauma-informed, client-centred support.
- Maintain a small clinical caseload and facilitate internal referrals.
- Contribute to quality improvement, program evaluation, and clinical policy development.
Successful applicants will require:
- Working with Vulnerable People registration or eligibility to obtain it.
- Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Membership of the AASW as a Social Worker.
- A Masters level qualification in Counselling, registered with PACFA (Clinical) or ACA Level 3 or 4.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care.
