About The Role
An exciting opportunity has come up with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Centralised Intake team for an experienced mental health clinician who would like to engage with young people, carers, and service providers via telephone/virtual care to ensure young people access the right service at the right time.
CAMHS is a specialist mental health service that assesses and treats young people 0 – 17 years of age and their families/carers who are living in the HNE Local Health District (LHD).
Young people referred to the service have complex and severe mental health problems that significantly impact on most aspects of their functioning and development.
The location of this position is negotiable.
You won't be working alone.
As part of our supportive team, you'll receive direct line management and guidance from the CAMHS CCI, Special Programs & Partnerships Manager and you will be working within an experienced multi-disciplinary team.

About You
We're looking for a confident and adaptable clinician with strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.
You'll bring experience in bio-psycho-social-cultural and mental health risk assessments, sound clinical decision-making, and the ability to work effectively with systems such as IPM and Medchart.
Just as importantly, you'll show flexibility in meeting the needs of patients and families while contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
Requirements
Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program) which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association and (where relevant) general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
For appointment at Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2: relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the service.
