About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Social Work Educators to join our team at the Australian College of Applied Professions. As a Sessional Lecturer in Social Work, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of social work professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach classes in social work, focusing on community work, social action, public policy, groupwork, family work, ageing, disability, and complex care.
  • Mark assignments and perform administrative tasks associated with the classes.
  • Respond to student enquiries and provide advice as required.
  • Teach from one of our campuses (Sydney or Melbourne).
  • Full-time or part-time for a specific period, 13 weeks per trimester, with the opportunity to assume the role of Unit Coordinator.
Requirements
  • A Social Work qualification.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Extensive experience as a practicing Social Worker.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships at all levels across the College.
  • Passion and motivation to empower students and the next generation of Social Workers.
