We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Health and Safety Specialist to join our leading private builder/developer. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in health and safety to work on high-end residential and industrial projects.

Salary and Benefits

About the Role
This role involves developing and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures. You will conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and provide corrective action recommendations. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of health and safety excellence within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Provide corrective action recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Train staff on health and safety best practices and monitor their understanding and adherence.
- Investigate incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to implement safety improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes to maintain our top-tier safety standards.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an HSE role within the building and construction or related industry.
- Experience with the HSE accreditation process.
- AS/NZS 4801 certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
