Project Overview

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

Key Aspects
  • A proposed capital investment of $1.7b incorporating various elements, including:
  • Construction of new messing and living-in accommodation
  • Construction of new training facilities
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support the project in achieving optimum safety outcomes. Reporting to the Safety Manager, this role will allow you to demonstrate your previous success and knowledge gained from a successful health and safety career while supporting staff and subcontractors to achieve best possible outcomes.

Requirements
  • Experience working on construction projects in a safety-related position
  • High level of skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
  • WHS qualifications
  • High level of skill and experience in developing, analysing, and reporting on complex project performance
  • Strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Capability and experience in delivering training in high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined space, and rescue training
  • The ability to engage with subcontractors and communicate with people at all levels to ensure safety and compliance in relation to CPB Contractors requirements
