Senior RF Sensor Leader

The Senior RF Sensor Leader oversees a team of scientists, engineers, and technical staff responsible for conducting research and field trials into design, development, testing, and evaluation of RF sensors and systems for guided weapons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contributing to the shaping of the RF sensor capability, including workforce planning, capability management, and creating a productive work culture.
  • Providing oversight and coordination of the design, simulation, testing, and evaluation of RF sensing payloads for guided weapon test activities.
  • Collaborating with industry, academia, and international research agencies for flight testing RF sensor payload capabilities.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to improve alignment with their priorities and shared interests in common science and technology.
Requirements:
  • A degree or equivalent experience in RF related engineering, science, or physics.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in RF system engineering, component and sensor development, and understanding of RF sensor applications for guided weapons.
  • Effective leadership and management of a small team, including career development and performance management.
  • Experience leading cooperative research relationships with Defence partners.
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
