Lead Disability Support Specialist

A Behaviour Support Practitioner is responsible for conducting in-depth assessments to uncover underlying needs of individuals with disabilities.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify behaviours of concern and create effective support plans that promote independence.
- Develop behaviour support strategies tailored to individual needs and lead educational sessions on consistent implementation.
- Monitor progress, celebrate milestones, and refine strategies to optimise outcomes through data-driven decision making.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be a successful Behaviour Support Practitioner, you must possess:
- Registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, including a valid Practitioner ID.
- Proficient or Specialist level requirements under the NDIS PBS Capability Framework.
- Strong empathy and insight to understand and support individuals with disabilities and their networks.
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic problem-solving skills to address complex challenges and find innovative solutions.
