We are seeking a dedicated professional to empower individuals with disabilities through Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting thorough assessments, developing tailored strategies, leading support networks, and driving continuous improvement.
About the Role
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand behaviours of concern and identify underlying needs, fostering a deep understanding of each individual's circumstances.
- Design evidence-based behaviour support plans that promote independence, positive change, and optimal outcomes.
- Lead and educate support networks to ensure consistent and effective plan implementation, promoting a collaborative environment.
- Monitor progress, celebrate milestones, and refine strategies to achieve the best possible results.
Requirements
- Certification as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is mandatory.
- Meet Proficient or Specialist level requirements under the NDIS PBS Capability Framework, demonstrating exceptional skills and knowledge.
- Empathy and insight to understand and support individuals with disabilities and their networks, providing compassionate care.
- Excellent communication skills to build trust and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Strategic problem-solving skills to address complex challenges, delivering innovative solutions.
- A strong understanding of NDIS guidelines and relevant legislative frameworks, staying up-to-date with the latest developments.
