About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to join our team at Penske Transportation Solutions. As an HSE Business Partner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and demonstrate HSE leadership with managers and employees to ensure everyone understands, believes, and connects with HSE matters on a personal level.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and employees to engage people in HSE practices and a safety culture for our business operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Management System that matches Penske's, legislative, and ISO requirements in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Environment.
  • Provide an effective Risk Management approach to ensure best practice WHS and Environmental management for our business operations.
  • Ensure HSE policies and procedures are embedded in our business operations.
  • Assist in the implementation of Wellbeing strategies across our business operations.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualification in OH&S – Minimum Diploma OH&S.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (desired, not essential).
  • Qualified Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator.
  • Certified IMS Auditor (preferred).
  • Incident Lead Investigator trained (ICAM preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience with WHS and Environmental systems.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining best practice WHS and Environmental programs.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of federal and state legislation related to WHS and Environment.
  • Experience in Rehabilitation and Return to Work programs.
  • Proven experience managing Workers Compensation/ACC, including claims, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to train and coach managers and employees on Safety and Environment programs including Workers Compensation/rehabilitation.
  • Established competence in auditing (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience in managing external stakeholders, contractors, and apprentices.
  • Knowledge and experience in Wellbeing and successful implementation of such programs.
