Position Overview:

Job Title: HSE & Quality Advisor

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the organization maintains compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, facilitating certification processes and supporting the upkeep of ISO 9001 certification. This position will provide expert guidance to management, ensuring a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management, while promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.

This role operates with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment

  • Assist the organization in achieving and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance and certification.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of the WHSE strategy, safety management plans, and WHSE Management System aligned with organizational objectives, including health and wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to uphold the highest safety standards and ensure adherence to all WHSE legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments on significant organizational risks and oversee the implementation of necessary controls and safe work procedures (SWP).
  • Develop, implement, and monitor WHSE systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Identify WHSE training needs and coordinate the delivery and tracking of organizational training programs.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant WHSE records in conjunction with the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Support the organization in conducting monthly health, safety, and environment meetings and annual management reviews.
  • Assist in the evaluation and revision of internal policies and procedures that impact product and service quality.
  • Conduct regular internal audits for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance.

Quality Management

  • Support the Quality Manager in effectively managing the QMS across all facets.
  • Ensure the QMS aligns with ISO 9001 standards, as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of internal audits to meet ISO 9001 standards.
  • Contribute to reporting on QMS performance, including quality audit results and corrective actions, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation and facilitation of the annual Cubic Quality Management Review.

General Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Cubic's Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System.
  • Follow security protocols in accordance with established organizational policies.
  • Adhere to Cubic's Human Resources Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Certified Internal QMS Auditor.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a WHSE or Quality role.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Ability to inspire and enhance the knowledge of others regarding practices and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with RTO/Training compliance is a plus.

Condition of Employment:
