About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our sales team in Malaga, WA. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for searching for new customers, quoting, and following through with orders in industrial automation industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial automation industries.
  • Assist with internal sales inquiries from customers who may benefit from our products or services.
  • Visit customers with sales engineers and independently scout the market through sales calls and visits.
  • Assist in building relationships with customers by interpreting their requirements.
  • Persuade customers that our products best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
  • Follow up and action leads from the sales team or marketing activities as requested.
  • Assist pre-sales and engineering in developing and proposing solutions to customers.
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
  • Assist in ensuring accounts are opened, payments are made on time, and accounting queries are resolved.
  • Enter, update, and maintain customer opportunities, sales activities, and details in CRM.
  • Develop a general knowledge of all business units' portfolios across industrial automation.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and applications and learn how to use them using internal Bosch systems, communities, and networks.
  • Learn and follow internal procedures for sales, engineering, service, and warranties.
  • Complete assigned training and attend sales meetings with team members and managers as requested.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience in sales, particularly in industrial automation equipment.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills to demonstrate Rexroth product range to customers.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Ability to make contacts and build up networks.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Pro-active approach to daily work.
  • Dynamic and motivated individual.
  • Ability to manipulate MS office tools.
  • Current driver's license.
