Job Description

This role is a key point of contact for clients, providing pre- and post-sales technical advice and support. You will work closely with the sales team, engineering, purchasing, production, and quality departments, as well as senior company managers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and developing new customers
  • Meeting sales targets and developing annual budgets with the HD Manager
  • Initiating and developing contact with key and target customers, including design consultants, end users, and OEMs
  • Managing direct sales channels for Hägglunds components and drive systems
  • Calculating customer quotations, negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and engineering system designs
  • Analysing cost and sales data
  • Preparing sales and marketing reports for stakeholders
  • Providing training and support material for the sales team
  • Supporting marketing activities, including attending trade shows and conferences
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating Hägglunds products and solutions
  • Managing projects with the sales team and technical experts
  • Developing and establishing a high level of technical competence and knowledge
  • Developing regional sales and formulating customer solutions related to Large Hydraulic Drives
  • Preparing and presenting technical and commercial quotations
  • Producing forecasts on market sales, growth, and profit
  • Developing and recommending pricing strategies
  • Customer support and management
  • Assisting the Service and Quality teams on quality, warranty, and customer care issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years proven sales experience in a similar role
  • A Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum Cert III Fitter and Machinist Trade Certificate or equivalent from a similar trade
  • Experience in Hydraulic Engineering/Production or Service
  • Customer-focused skills
  • Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills
