About the Role

The Queensland Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of the specialist Domestic and Family Violence court justice response and support courts responses to the DFV reform agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Delivery of High-Quality Court Registry Practice: Develop and implement strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality court registry practice with respect to DFV proceedings.
  2. Establish and Maintain Stakeholder Relationships: Establish, lead, and maintain supportive relationships with stakeholders including staff, government, and non-government stakeholders.
  3. Drive Integrated Responses to DFV: Collaborate with services operating in the court to drive the necessary court and stakeholder strategies that support integrated responses to DFV, including the setting of priorities and implementing projects within set timeframes.
  4. Establish Procedures and Protocols: With other members of the team, establish procedures and protocols to support the DFV court's operation.
  5. Monitor the Operation of the DFV Court: Monitor the operation of the DFV court including coordinating wrap-around support services to support the DFV court.
  6. Implement High-Quality Data Collection Processes: Implement and maintain high-quality data collection processes for the purposes of reporting, monitoring, and evaluating the operation of the DFV court.
  7. Ensure Operational Consistency: Act as a conduit between Courts Innovation Program (CIP), the DFV Court Program, and the registry, ensuring operational consistency with the broader DFV Court Program and DFV reform agenda.
  8. Oversee Progress of the Specialist DFV Court Justice Response: Oversee progress of the specialist DFV court justice response to DFV against identified objectives and report on operations to the DFV Project Manager and Director, Specialist Courts, Referral and Support Services.
  9. Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Support the DFV Project Manager and Director, Specialist Courts, Referral and Support Services, providing subject matter expertise regarding the operational aspects of registry DFV responses, and undertaking discrete projects as directed.
  10. Identify and Analyze Complex Program Issues: Identify, research, develop and analyze complex program issues, inform associated policy and procedure development, and collaboratively develop evidence-based solutions.
  11. Cultivate Cultural Capability: Support, contribute and cultivate cultural capability within the operations of programs established under CIP to assist vulnerable people coming into contact with the justice system.
