Key Responsibilities- Community Education and Training: Develop, coordinate, and evaluate community education programs to raise awareness about domestic violence, including planning and facilitating training programs for professionals and community members.
- Crisis Assistance and Risk Assessment: Provide crisis assistance, risk assessment, and safety planning for victims of domestic violence, including collaborating with government and non-government organizations to enhance service delivery.
- Intake and Case Management: Participate in organisational development activities, including staff meetings and case management sessions, to ensure effective service delivery.
- Embedded DV Worker Program: Contribute to the Embedded DV Worker program in collaboration with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) to enhance service delivery and support victims of domestic violence.
- Group Work and Community Outreach: Lead and facilitate group work programs to meet client and organisational needs, including managing the organisation's social media presence and publishing newsletters to raise awareness about domestic violence.
- Qualifications: A degree in psychology, social work, community welfare, education, or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of experience in a relevant role.
- Skills and Background: Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering education and training materials, strong written and verbal communication skills, understanding of domestic violence issues, including cultural differences and needs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Publisher.
- Competitive Salary: A competitive Level 5 SCHADS salary of circa $97,000 - $101,000 FTE p.a. + superannuation.
