National Operations Director

We're seeking a senior leader to drive our oncourse wagering channel nationwide. You will shape the customer experience, strengthen industry relationships, and drive commercial results.

Your key responsibilities include maximising turnover, revenue and profitability by implementing business strategy and overseeing end-to-end operations. This includes national rostering, administration, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and safety. A key part of your role is partnering with race clubs and industry stakeholders to ensure a consistent, engaging oncourse wagering experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of dedicated and experienced managers
  • Drive commercial performance — maximising turnover, revenue and profitability
  • Oversee national rostering, budgets, administration and project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety and integrity
  • Foster strong partnerships with race clubs and industry stakeholders to deliver a consistent, engaging oncourse customer experience
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation and operational excellence across the network

The Skills We're Looking For:

  • Extensive leadership experience in large-scale operational management
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to deliver on financial targets
  • Expertise in managing geographically dispersed teams and driving consistent performance
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in regulated industries, with a focus on compliance, risk, and safety
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Event Management or related field (preferred)
