Social and Emotional Wellbeing Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social and Emotional Wellbeing Lead to join our team at Children's Ground in Darwin.
About the RoleThe Social and Emotional Wellbeing Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing a range of early intervention and prevention strategies to promote positive mental health and social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for First Nations children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement culturally safe and responsive interventions to address the mental health needs of First Nations children, young people, and their families.
- Provide a social and emotional wellbeing environment in Children's Ground that promotes First Nations wellbeing practices and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of a wellbeing strategy for the social and emotional wellbeing of staff.
- Work with families in Darwin First Nation communities and provide outreach support to West Arnhem.
- Relevant tertiary qualification, such as Social Work, Counselling or Psychology.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a role that promotes social and emotional health and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated successes working in a position that promotes social and emotional health and wellbeing.
- Experience working with First Nations communities and an understanding of the effects of colonisation, disempowerment, and intergenerational trauma.
- Knowledge of a range of interventions and prevention strategies which promote positive mental health and social and emotional wellbeing outcomes.
- Experience in developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating preventative and early intervention therapeutic programs.
- Strong relationship, networking, and communication skills.
- Current driver's licence, OCHRE Card, and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Up to $107,717 salary depending on experience.
- Up to $5,500 for relocation assistance.
- Access to NT PHN professional development grants.
