The Category Specialist role is a key position that supports procurement strategy, manages contracts, and ensures vendor compliance.
This role spans primarily Spare Parts Procurement in various disciplines including HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Security, Building, and Indirect Procurement.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development of procurement strategies.
- Negotiate tenders, contracts, and project documentation.
- Manage vendor performance and compliance.
- Lead smaller procurement projects from start to finish.
- Prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Achieve cost savings while meeting operational requirements.
- Commerce, Finance, or Procurement degree.
- At least 1 year of experience in a procurement/contract environment or 3+ years in office administration.
- Prior document management experience is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and multitasking skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities are required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Australian working rights are necessary.
