Procurement Expert Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Expert to join our team on a temporary basis. As a key figure in the development and implementation of procurement strategies, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective procurement frameworks that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure procurement processes adhere to established policies and guidelines.
  • Analyze market trends and identify potential suppliers to drive cost savings and efficiency.
  • Support tendering activities, including preparing documentation and evaluating supplier submissions.
  • Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices and policy compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier agreements.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and ensure contract terms are met.
  • IDentify and mitigate risks associated with procurement operations.
Requirements:
  • A deep understanding of procurement principles and practices.
  • Experience in preparing and evaluating tender documents and supplier proposals.
  • Background in procurement within infrastructure or construction environments (experience in government contracting desirable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team environment.
