Lead Therapeutic Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Therapeutic Services Manager to join our team in Kent Town and Nuriootpa. This part-time (30 hours per week) permanent role will involve leading a team of dedicated professionals and overseeing the delivery of high-quality therapeutic care services to children and young people residing in our homes.
About the Role- This is a leadership position that requires a strong track record of experience working with young people with complex trauma, exceptional engagement skills, and the ability to navigate challenges with confidence and understanding.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team, conducting operational supervision meetings, providing guidance and support to team members, and overseeing individual Therapeutic Care Plans.
- This role also involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create and implement transition plans for children and young people moving into and out of our homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and promoting a positive and thriving community that supports the children and young people residing in the home.
- Leading and managing a team of Therapeutic Care Workers (TCWs).
- Conducting regular operational supervision meetings with the Therapeutic Care Workers (TCWs) in the assigned home.
- Providing guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to deliver exceptional care.
- Overseeing the update and maintenance of individual Therapeutic Care Plans.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in the creation and implementation of individualised transition plans for children and young people moving into and out of the home.
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks, including handling petty cash, organising rosters and timesheets, submitting leave, and writing case notes and reports.
We are looking for a natural leader who can work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional time management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to plan and coordinate resources to meet program delivery and client needs within deadlines.
You will use your expertise and knowledge to help young people settle into a home-like environment, increase their independent living skills and connection with the local community, and support them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working with young people with complex trauma.
- Strong engagement skills and the ability to interact effectively and sensitively with young people, families, peers, and other service providers to achieve positive outcomes with clients.
- The ability to navigate challenges with confidence and understanding.
- Strong leadership capability and previous experience leading a team that works across a 24/7 roster.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively guide and motivate team members.
- An estimated salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
