In line with our Strategic Plan, HeliMods is expanding nationally and in select global markets. To support our growth plans, we are seeking to appoint experienced professionals to work in our dynamic environment.

The Opportunity

HeliMods seeks an experienced Aerospace Technical Support Specialist with between 3-7 years of relevant industry experience who has a genuine passion for technology and innovation. This position is within a growing part of the Engineering team and offers opportunities for building new organizational capability.

This role requires applying problem-solving skills to respond to stakeholder needs, determining and implementing design updates with associated certification as required, planning implementations, and continuously improving HeliMods' organizational capabilities in test, technical data, and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • To apply problem-solving skills to respond to stakeholder needs
  • Determine and implement design updates with associated certification as required
  • Plan implementations and continuously improve HeliMods' organizational capabilities in test, technical data, and training
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in any relevant engineering discipline, particularly interested in Avionics, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering specialities
  • 3-7 years relevant avionics, electrical or electronics engineering industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting test and reviews of physical products, systems, and PCBAs for embedded systems
  • Demonstrated experience in technical content generation and associated training to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles with an ability to advocate for the customer with internal stakeholders
  • Experience with design software and simulation tools software for circuit design and analysis would be highly rated (Altium, Zuken)
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (Siemens NX preferred)
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management software (Siemens Teamcenter preferred)
  • The energy, intelligence, and initiative to proactively overcome industries' toughest challenges
  • Experience collaborating with design engineers and other stakeholders to address non-compliance issues and develop effective solutions
  • Good working knowledge of CASR Part 21 strongly desirable
  • A structured approach to working with an ability to deliver despite ambiguity that allows you to thrive in a highly autonomous environment

What We Offer

An estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $180,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience.
