The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support the integration of our world-leading mission systems into customer aircraft within the scope of our CASA approvals.
This role will also involve supporting the integrated systems when introduced into service in a field service support capacity. The primary location for duties will be our Caloundra facility, with occasional deployment globally.
Job Responsibilities- Apply specialist knowledge and experience to efficiently perform product and aircraft maintenance and integration activities to a high standard using specialized tools in accordance with approved maintenance data, industry standards, engineering specifications, work instructions, and procedures.
- Perform customer support activities, including service orders, integration commissioning, testing, ground tests, and flight tests.
- Assist the production team with system and subsystem assembly as required.
- Complete functional testing, quality assurance inspections, defect diagnosis, and rectification.
- Support commercial processes by responding to requests for information related to the supply of new equipment and maintenance on existing equipment.
- Adhere to organizational approvals, including the CAR 30 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) exposition.
- Maintain accurate records and traceability of maintenance operations, including inputs and outputs.
- Perform verification and validation activities using company and industry-standard testing tools and approaches.
- FOLLOW ALL SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES TO ENSURE A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT FOR SELF AND OTHERS.
- Collaborate with the team and provide direct technical inputs to positively influence achievement of DIFOT.
- Provide technical support for delivered mission systems as required and coordinated by HeliMods Customer Support.
- Offer technical advice to HeliMods departments on improving HeliMods products from maintainability and reliability perspectives to ensure optimal availability for customers.
- Engage with customer, project, engineering, and production teams to provide feedback on integration data, document improvement initiatives, develop or evolve standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on aircraft and support other team members to resolve their issues while informing updates to process.
- Perform required quality processes, including checking and maintaining calibrated tools and equipment used.
- Model enterprise processes and standards for others in the team.
- Mentor and support team members in learning and performing skills, including specialist skills.
- Hold current CASR Part 66 AW139 B1.3 or B2 Type rating with at least 5 years of type experience.
- Demonstrated experience in integrating complex mission systems.
- Demonstrated experience in a multi-faceted aviation maintenance environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to successfully obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
- Ability to pass random and routine drug and alcohol screening for employment purposes.
