About the Advanced Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship

  • The Plastic Surgery Unit at Austin Health offers a comprehensive range of plastic surgical services.

Role Overview

  • This one-year clinical fellowship is designed for qualified overseas Plastic Surgeons eligible for temporary medical registration in Victoria.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop further expertise in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, with a focus on Advanced Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship.
  • Acquire skills in breast reconstruction, head and neck, lymphatics, skin cancer & melanoma, and support Registrars and Residents in clinical and operative care of patients.
  • Oversee patient management, undertake emergency and elective surgery independently, and facilitate emergency operating.
  • Contribute to the unit's general running and activities in collaboration with Registrars.

Requirements

  • To be successful, you must be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with AHPRA, demonstrate interest in and relevant training applicable to the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
