Job Description

About Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES)

Our purpose is to provide fire, rescue and emergency management programs and services throughout Queensland.

Capability Management Specialist - Investment Planning

This role involves working with capability owners and service leads to review capability and provide investment support to enhance the delivery of our capabilities.

You will lead the review of our capabilities, supporting the investment decision-making process. You will also manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver strategic programs, projects and initiatives.

Oversight on Capability Management

Provide high-level strategic advice, oversee capability requirement analysis, and manage implementation of frameworks and policies to support investment planning.

Stakeholder Engagement and Governance

Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, represent QFES on various forums, and implement governance frameworks and systems.

Complex Briefs and Reports

Prepare complex briefs, reports and submissions, and respond to enquiries relating to capability modelling and investment planning.

Key Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of capability management or previous experience working with business capability models.
  • Project management experience is highly desirable.
