About The Role:
The Capability Development Specialist will collaborate with the MTC RTO (TSS) and the business to identify and address workforce skill gaps in order to develop and implement workforce training solutions in line with organisational needs and compliance requirements.
This role is accountable for the development and implementation of high-quality training across the organisation's operational functions, ensuring that it is fit for purpose and delivered to achieve successful, progressive skill development and cost efficiencies. This role will provide services covering specific areas of learning and organisational development, including training needs analysis, training delivery forecasting and planning, qualifications training learner support, training vendor relationship management, training logistics, and other services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of competency frameworks for all roles which identify the skills, behaviours and knowledge required for each role, and development of supporting learning journeys which define the training and education programs that deliver the competencies
- Lead the design and implementation of learning and professional development initiatives, policies, strategies and projects to build capability across the organisation, considering the diversity of work environments and learner needs
- Ensure that the learning and development requirements for workforce development for all contracts are implemented compliantly
- Consult with Centre Managers on their learning needs and provide expert advice on training and learning interventions to meet those needs
- Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and recommendations targeted intervention in collaboration
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and business leaders to ensure learning initiatives aligned with strategic and business goals
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline including Human Resources Management, Adult Education, Business, or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience
- Certificate IV in training and assessment or equivalent industry qualification or willing to undertake this qualification.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to ensure clear and concise information is presented to all levels of the organisation including, RTO's, customers and clients.
- Strong written, verbal and reporting skills, including the ability to present high quality information and deliver training to all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, reporting and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) with the ability to capture and record accurate data for all activities
