Job Overview:
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will oversee payroll processing and validation to ensure accuracy and compliance with legislative and industrial requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret award conditions, enterprise agreements, and departmental policies to resolve queries and anomalies with authoritative expertise.
- Act as a key liaison point between payroll services and internal/external stakeholders, including leaders and external agencies.
- Mentor and support payroll officers to contribute to staff capability through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct payroll audits and implement internal controls to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
- Support system upgrades and improvements by collaborating with IT and HR teams, contributing to testing, feedback, and change management initiatives.
